LIGHTHOUSE IS PASSIONATE about bringing Transformation to our Community and World. One project that has really caught our attention for 2013 is the BUILD A CITY Project in Cambodia. The goal is to actually BUILD A CITY for 6,000 people. People for Care and Learning (PCL) is leading the way in an effort to "Give HOPE" to a city and nation. PCL is partnering with the Cambodian Government to build infra-structure like electricity, plumbing with clean water, 1500 houses, grocery stores, businesses...everything needed to BUILD A CITY that will Give Hope for the future.
Lighthouse is mobilizing Kalamazoo to get involved in two ways. First, to raise funds for the BUILD A CITY Project. We are sponsoring three events and asking for individuals and families to participate. The events are as follows:
-
KZOO TRI 4 HOPE - May 18th, 2013
The KZOO TRI for Hope is a Sprint Triathlon for Children grades 1-5th. It will be hosted at Bronson Athletic Club. Each child is encouraged to raise a minimum of $25 for the BUILD A CITY Project.
